kevin foster

Kevin is the very busy North Yorkshire Councillor for Hipswell and Colburn. He is leader of the Green Party group of 4 Green Councillors on NYC. He sits on 13 committees/working groups. He is proud to be NYC Armed Forces Champion

He is passionate about protecting green spaces and having a voice on NYC not only for the Green party but also for the residents he represents and has lived with for forty years

Allan Mortimer

Allan is a Parish Councillor on Rudby Parish Council, which includes Hutton Rudby, Rudby, Middleton-on-Leven and Skutterskelfe. He was first elected to the Council in May 2019 and has been chairman since December 2021. He chairs the Neighbourhood Plan steering group and is a member of the finance committee

fergus Brown

Fergus joined Richmond Town Council in June 2022 and represents East Ward He is Vice Chair of the Markets Committee and Planning Committee and a member of the Donations Committee.He is a Richmond School Trustee and a Town Council representative for Welcome to Richmond.

rupert hildyard

Rupert sits on Colburn Town Council. He is a retired university lecturer and part-time farmer. He wants to see what can be done locally in the context of the climate and nature crisis.

Anna jackson

Anna is the Coordinator. Her main role is overseeing strategy and coordinating the work of the rest of the committee. She also edits the website. Anna says, “I joined the Green Party because it has an explicit underlying commitment to fairness, human rights and working for the common good.” coordinator@richmondnyorks.greenparty.org.uk

Allan Mortimer

Allan is the Secretary and Data Officer. He was Kevin’s agent and campaign manager during the Mayoral Election and General Election in 2024.

Allan says, ” Tackling climate change is the most important issue facing humanity. The Green party is the only UK political party which is committed to the scale and pace of action needed locally, nationally and internationally. That’s why I joined and became active in the Green Party.”

jenny Boulds

Jenny is the Membership Officer. She works to welcome new members and to keep members well-informed and involved. Jenny lives in Richmond. She says, “I joined the Green Party to use the democratic system to achieve change in local and national government action on climate change.” Here she is wearing her favourite red jacket campaigning for Kevin in the 2024 Mayoral Election

margaret Lowndes

Margaret is the Treasurer and Media Contact.

She joined the Green party because of her increasing concern for the environment and because she felt that the party was the one most aligned with her values and political outlook.

suzanne raymond

Suzanne leads on climate and sustainabiliy. Her main priorities are :to develop links and, where possible, collaboration with local environmental groups; to raise awareness of the important work being done by the Green party locally and nationally to promote sustainability and address climate change.
